This tool converts a “.ttf” font file into multi-channel signed distance fields, then outputs packed spritesheet and a modified csv representation of an AngelCode BMfont to use with SharpText for Unreal Engine 4 and possibly other applications.
Signed distance fields are a method of reproducing vector shapes from a texture representation, popularized in this paper by Valve. This tool uses Chlumsky/msdfgen with the help of Jam3/msdf-bmfont to generate multichannel signed distance fields to preserve corners.
